The application of this practice will help ensure consistency in procedures used for the sensory evaluation of edible oils. This practice is designed for use by oil processors or research laboratories for evaluations by a trained, experienced sensory panel under the supervision of a sensory professional or for use by quality control and quality assurance personnel for the sensory evaluation of edible oils and fats.1.1 This practice covers the recommended procedures for the sensory evaluation of edible oils and fats. 1.2 This practice covers techniques for evaluating odor and flavor in fats and oils, for determining overall odor and flavor intensity, and the intensity of individual odors or flavors. 1.3 The techniques used in this practice are applicable to oils (liquid at room temperature) and liquified fats (solid at room temperature). 1.4 The values in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. 1.5 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. Specific precautions are given in Section 7.
This European Standard covers all significant hazards as identified by risk assessment (see EN 1050), which are listed in clause 4 of this standard, relevant to centrifuges for processing edible oils and fats, when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer. It specifies safety and hygiene requirements for the design, manufacture, use, maintenance and cleaning of centrifugal machines. The normal operating methods are described in 3.2. This standard does not apply to machines using solvent extraction and ancillary machines (e. g. conveyors, hoppers, etc.). It is not applicable to basket centrifuges. This European Standard is applicable primarily to machines which are manufactured after the date of approval by CEN.

La présente Norme européenne établit les prescriptions et les méthodes d'essai applicables aux revêtements en mortier de ciment appliqués en usine pour protéger de la corrosion extérieure les tuyaux en fonte ductile conformes aux EN 545, EN 598 et EN 969 et destinés à être utilisés à des températures de service allant jusqu'à 50 oC, et pour des conditions de sol conformes à l'Annexe D.2 de l'EN 545:2006.Des activités particulières effectuées sur le site telles que la protection des joints, le taraudage, le bridage, etc., peuvent avoir une incidence sur les propriétés de protection contre la corrosion du revêtement en mortier de ciment. Il convient de faire figurer ces opérations dans les instructions relatives à la pose fournies par les fabricants de tuyaux, brides et piquages à selle pour branchements domestiques etc. ainsi que dans les procédures pertinentes des utilisateurs. This International Standard specifies the minimum requirements for surface preparation, materials, application, inspection and testing of internal coating lining systems that are intended to be applied on internal surfaces of steel storage tanks of crude oil, hydrocarbons and water for corrosion protection. It covers both new construction and maintenance works of tank internal coating and lining as well as the repair of defective and deteriorated system. This International Standard also provides the minimum requirements for shop performance testing of the coated/lined samples and the criteria for their approval.
