Specifies the basic functional sizes for seating and tables in educational institutions
The project defines the requirements of meeting rooms and their equipment. These requirements apply to meeting rooms, which are fully or partially equipped for audio, video and data transmission or where such installations should be possible later on. The project also comprises instructions how to allocate the meeting rooms and the respective adjacent and service rooms as well as the other facilities of the building. Thus a meeting room will form a functional integrated whole of architectural design, furniture, technical and other equipment.
The standard describes the extent and the content of the documentation which is handed over when a building is transitioned from the constructionphase to the usingphase.
The document applies to the construction and appliances of schools and similar structural works for general and vocational training schools. In case of structural modifications and change of appliances it also applies to the new parts.
This standard defines minimum requirements for the cleaning of school buildings and related sports facilities, regardless whether the cleaning is performed by its own employees or by a service provider. It also indicates how the effective cleaning performance can be influenced by requirements of the decision makers.
This European Standard specifies functional dimensions and markings for all chairs, stools and tables, for educational institutions, including fixed and adjustable chairs and tables. It applies to both un-upholstered and upholstered chairs and stools as well as to both non-swivel and swivel chairs. It applies to furniture for use with laptop computers or portable devices. It does not apply to ranked seating or special purpose workstations. It does not apply to furniture used by teaching personnel.
This European Standard gives guidelines of performance benchmarking and contains clear terms and definitions as well as methods for benchmarking facility management products and services as well as facility management organisations and operations.
This document includes amendment A1. This European Standard provides the specific methods and requirements for the assessments of social performance of a building while taking into account the building's functionality and technical characteristics. This European Standard applies to all types of buildings, both new and existing. The assessment of social performance of a building, in this first generation of the standard, concentrates on measures related to a building`s occupants and other users. This European Standard is intended to support the decision making process and documentation of the assessment of the social performance of a building. In this Standard, the method of assessment of the social performance of a building is based on a life cycle approach. In this first version of the standard, the social dimension of sustainability concentrates on the assessment of aspects and impacts for the use stage of a building. The standard gives requirements for: - the description of the object of assessment; - the system boundary that applies at the building level; - the list of indicators and procedures for the application of these indicators; - the presentation of the results in reporting and communication; - the data necessary for the application of the standard, and - verification. This standard does not set the rules for how building assessment schemes may provide valuation methods. Nor does it prescribe levels, classes or benchmarks of performance. The interpretation and valuation of the results of the assessment are not within the scope of this standard. Note: pre-use and after-use stages of the building lifecycle are not covered in this first generation of standards.
