本標準規定了加油站用于石油產品、乙醇汽油的玻璃纖維增強塑料地下貯罐的術語和定義、分類和標記、材料、結構與制造、要求、試驗方法、檢驗規則和標識、包裝、運輸、貯存。本標準適用于工作壓力為-2 kPa~3 kPa、埋地深度為0.5 m~2.1 m的臥式圓筒形玻璃纖維增強塑料單層地下貯罐(F單層罐)、玻璃纖維增強塑料雙層地下貯罐(F/F雙層罐)和鋼-玻璃纖維增強塑料雙層地下貯罐(S/F雙層罐)。

Covers spherical or cylindrical, atmospheric-type tanks of glass-fiber-reinforced plastic that are intended for the underground storage of petroleum-based flammable and combustible liquids. These tanks are completely assembled and tested for leakage before shipment. They are intended for installation and use in accordance with ANSI/NFPA 31-1981, Installation of Oil-Burning Equipment, and ANSI/NFPA 30-1981, Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code. This standard does not cover optional accessories for these tanks, such as heating coils or hotwells; nor does it cover compartmented tanks.
