Specifies the characteristics of these components with aluminium conductors in locations in which the stabilized conductor temperature does not exceed 105 degrees centigrade. Includes information on terminology, materials, demensions, finish, inhibitors, inspection, markings, performance and installation.
Describes the design requirements and tests for the crimping of insulated and non-insulated terminations to general purpose cables, with conductors of copper, copper alloy, aluminium or aluminium alloy, in locations in which the stabilized conductor temperature does not exceed the values specified for the relevant type, i. e. 105 鳦, 190 鳦 or 260 鳦. The type of cable with which the terminations are intended to be made has to be declared.
Includes the characteristics of cables with single copper conductors, for use at a nominal voltage of 6OO V, a maximum frequency of 2 OOO Hz and a continuous temperature not exceeding 28O 鳦 (ambient temperature plus heating) but which may withstand 4OO 鳦 for a limited period. The cables will retain a certain amount of dielectric strength when subjected to a flame of 1 1OO 鳦 for 5 min.
Gives the requirements for cables for the wiring of aircraft circuits, comprising single conductors with copper core covered with nickel or any other material of equivalent properties, suitable for use at a rated voltage up to 6OO V and at a frequency not exceeding 2 OOO Hz. The cables are intended for use at a temperature which may reach 28O 鳦 in continuous service (ambient temperature plus heating) and 4OO 鳦 for a limited period.
Specifies the tests suitable for establishing the compliance of cables with the performance requirements stated in ISO 2155. Is intended to serve as a basis for test specifications to be included in the relevant national standards when the Official Board of Inspection considers that existing tests are inadequate. The tests are classified in type tests only, type tests and routine productions tests and typ tests and production quality tests.
This document specifies a method for non-destructive measurements of the thickness of non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic electrically conductive base metals, using amplitude-sensitive eddy-current instruments. In this document, the term “coating” is used for materials such as, for example, paints and varnishes, electroplated coatings, enamel coatings, plastic coatings, claddings and powder coatings. This method is particularly applicable to measurements of the thickness of most oxide coatings produced by anodizing, but is not applicable to all conversion coatings, some of which are too thin to be measured by this method (see Clause 6). This method can also be used to measure non-magnetic metallic coatings on non-conductive base materials. However, the phase-sensitive eddy-current method specified in ISO 21968 is particularly usable to this application and can provide thickness results with a higher accuracy (see Annex A). This method is not applicable to measure non-
Specifies the way in which single-core, multi-core and coaxial cables used in the wiring of aircraft are to be marked as to type, size, origin, date etc. in order to facilitate servicing, the investigation of faults and replacement. Also specifies the approved methods for the marking of cores. Supplements those standards relating to marking that already exist. Allows for the codification of manufacturer's identities by individual countries.
This International Standard specifies the dimensions, electrical characteristics and mechanical characteristics of multi-strand conductors for general-purpose aircraft electrical cables and aerospace applications. It applies to stranded conductors over the nominal cross-sectional area range 0,12 mm
Specifies those properties of ropes and of their component parts which form a basis for acceptance. Does not apply to full-lock coil ropes, balance ropes and flat ropes used in mines. The characteristics of the wire to be used for the manufacture of these ropes are not covered. Annex A gives an example of a works certificate; annex B gives an example of a full works certificate. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (1976).
Specifies the nature and properties of the components together with the corresponding test methods. Describes the determination of water-soluble acids, the salt content, and the extractable content (dry matter and water content) as well as the expression of results.
Specifies the nature and properties of impregnating compounds and lubricants together with the corresponding test methods. Annex A tabulates suggested qualification and quality control tests. Annex B describes suggested test methods.
This International Standard specifies the classes, types and dimensions of, and test methods and requirements for, unscreened high-voltage ignition cables used in spark-ignited engines for road vehicles.
Specifies the dimensions. Applies to ignition systems for spark-ignited internal combustion engines of road vehicles.
This document specifies the test methods and requirements of basic performance multi-core sheathed cables for the connection of towing and towed vehicles, suitable for a temperature range of class A and class B defined in ISO 6722-1:2011, Table 1.
This document specifies the test methods and requirements for high performance sheathed multi-core cables for the connection of towing and towed vehicles, suitable for a temperature range of class A and class B, defined in ISO 6722-1:2011, Table 1.
This document specifies the construction, dimensions and marking of unscreened sheathed low-voltage multi-core cables for the connection of towing and towed vehicles, suitable for temperature range of class A and class B defined in ISO 6722-1:2011, Table 1.
This part of ISO 4141 specifies test method and performancenrequirements for electrical coiled cable assemblies for thenconnection of towing and towed road vehicles equipped with nominaln12 V or 24 V systems.
This International Standard specifies dimensions and characteristics of secondary connecting cables which are air-cooled over their length and with terminals connected to water-cooled lugs.nThe secondary connecting cables are used for connection between the secondary terminals of a welding transformer and the electrode holders.
Establishes guidelines for ensuring the quantities stated, a main objective being to ensure the integrity of the primary indication. In order to achieve different levels of security, criteria and recommendations for the design, installation, use and maintenance of the relevant equipment are laid down. Regulatory requirements, including those for safety, are not specifically covered in detail but certain general cautionary notes on safety are included for guidance.
