The values listed are not exact conversions of the values in Tables8201;1 to 31 inclusive but are, instead, rounded or rationalized values. Conformance to Annex A1 is mandatory when the x201c;Mx201d; specification designation is used. Note 1x2014;The term x201c;weightx201d; is used when inch-pound units are the standard; however, under SI, the preferred term is x201c;mass.x201d; 1.3x00a0;Annex A2 lists the dimensions of some shape profiles. 1.4x00a0;Appendix X1 provides information on coil as a source of structural products. 1.5x00a0;Appendix X2 provides information on the variability of tensile properties in plates and structural shapes. 1.6x00a0;Appendix X3 provides information on weldability. 1.7x00a0;Appendix X4 provides information on cold bending of plates, including suggested minimum inside radii for cold bending. 1.8x00a0;This general requirements specification also covers a group of supplementary requirements that are applicable to several of the above product specifications as indicated therein. Such requirements are provided for use where additional testing or additional restrictions are required by the purchaser, and apply only where specified individually in the purchase order. 1.9x00a0;In case of any conflict in requirements, the requirements of the applicable product specification prevail over those of this general requirements specification. 1.10x00a0;Additional requirements that are specified in the purchase order and accepted by the supplier are permitted, provided that such requirements do not negate any of the requirements of this general requirements specification or the applicable product specification. 1.11x00a0;For purposes of determining conformance with this general requirements specification and the applicable product specification, values are to be rounded to the nearest unit in the right-hand place of figures used in expressing the limiting values in accordance with the rounding method of Practice E29. 1.12x00a0;The text of this general requirements specification contains notes or footnotes, or both, that provide explanatory material. Such notes and footnotes, excluding those in tables and figures, do not contain any mandatory requirements. 1.13x00a0;The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI units are to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, the SI units are shown in brac

(2) Where it is necessary to alter a rule in other parts to enable up to S700 to be used, it is stated what needs to be done, either by noting that a rule is not to be used with steel grades greater than S460, then giving the one that is required, or by giving an additional rule or rules.
This document specifies requirements for flat and long products (see Clause 3) of hot rolled structural steels excluding structural hollow sections and tubes. Part 1 of this document specifies the general delivery conditions.
Eurocode 3 applies to the design of buildings and civil engineering works in steel. It complies with the principles and requirements for the safety and serviceability of structures, the basis of their design and veification that are given in EN 1990-Basis of structural design.
This EN gives rules that can be used in conjunction with all 11 parts of EN 1993-1 to enable steel structures to be designed with steel of grades greater than S460 up to S700. Where it is necessary to alter a rule in other parts to enable up to S700 to be used, it is stated what needs to be done, either by nothing that a rule is not to be used with steel grades greater than S460, then giving the one that is required, or by giving an additional rule or rules.
This European Standard specifies requirements for electrodeposited aluminium and aluminium alloy coatingson iron materials, plastic substrates, titanium materials, nickel materials and non-metallic substrate materialsrendered conductive, such as plastics. The coatings serve either as corrosion or galvanic corrosion protection,as well as for other technical applications.
